“Everything has a crack and that’s where the light gets in”. Leonard Cohen

I am a transpersonal integrative therapist.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling & Psychotherapy with the Psychosynthesis Trust.

Psychosynthesis is a transpersonal, psychospiritual and integrative therapy. It draws on the Western ideas of analysis, psychology and therapy and the Eastern philosophies of mindfulness, meditation and self-realisation. It is a therapeutic approach conceived between 1909 – 1911 by Italian Psychiatrist Roberto Assagioli, a contemporary of Freud and Jung.

I have worked as a counsellor in primary care for the NHS and have an extensive background in the field of addiction, intergenerational trauma and loss. In addition to working as a therapist I have over 20 years of experience in teaching somatic work and yoga, running classes, workshops and retreats.

“From personal experience I have no hesitation in recommending Sophie as a transpersonal therapist. She possesses a depth of presence, intuition, kindness and wisdom that immediately put you at ease.” Simon
